Sunday Hummus!

Sunday Hummus!

This hummus was made sans Sunday scaries <3

Most Sunday’s in winter are thankfully a bit more laid back. A yoga class in the morning, football on in the background, meal prepping for the week ahead. It’s one of my favorite times to experiment!

I wanted to enjoy healthy snack but wasn’t sure how that was going to come together. I happened to have most of these ingredients so I was able to whip together a deliciously creamy hummus that I will for sure be making again soon!

Sunday Funday!

SUNDAY HUMMUS

2 cans of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

½ cup of sesame tahini

Garlic, I did 4 cloves which may be 1 or 2 too many :) minced!

⅓ cup of olive oil

Lemon juice (1-2 fresh squeezed lemons)

Cumin

Salt

The best part about this recipe was that I rinsed the chickpeas, and dumped all the ingredients in the food processor. * If you like your hummus a bit creamier, save the juice that the can of beans come in - it’s called aquafaba, I learned that today! And you can add it in at the end to increase the smoothness.

Next time I plan to add in red peppers, olives, and some of my favorite spice - pric o prac!
